Christchurch exists because of the Bible’s vision of Jesus. We savor this vision in worship together. We are strengthened in this vision through discipleship. And we spread this vision through mission, evangelism and loving deeds.
In the summer of 2007, after a long season of prayer and seeking wisdom from God, Christchurch began meeting for worship on Sunday mornings. Our first Sunday worship gatherings were held in a living room in Superior. Since then, the church has gathered on Sundays for worship at a park pavilion, an elementary school, in the buildings of other churches, in a dance studio, and most recently in a retail storefront.
From the beginning, Christchurch has also gathered in smaller groups in one another’s homes and one-to-one at various times during the week to savor, strengthen and spread the Bible’s vision of Jesus.
Starting a new church is never easy, and we’ve gone through many tough times together, but God is good and strong and loves to bless his people when they seek to worship Him and obey Jesus’ command to “go and make disciples of all nations.” The following timeline highlights how God has blessed Christchurch and brought us through hardship into a better place. We believe that our best days are ahead of us, and we’re committed to being a faithful church of Jesus Christ in Boulder County.
